Maté contains caffeine, which helps increase alertness, improve concentration and contributes to increased endurance performance. The infusion has a green-brown color and a slightly smoky smell. The taste is strong, slightly astringent and long-lasting, denser than green maté. Preparation: Maté is traditionally prepared in kallabase (a container made of a special pumpkin) and drunk through a bombilla (a metal tube with a sieve at the bottom). But you can prepare in anything, albeit with less effect. Use 10 g of tea in 0.5 l of water (water temperature 95 ° C) and let it brew for about 10 minutes.
