Coltsfoot -Tussilago farfara is a perennial herb growing up to 15 cm tall. It is characterised by a long creeping rhizome that reaches a length of more than one metre. It grows throughout Asia and Europe, most often in moist habitats such as ditches, meadows and the edges of rivers and streams. It has also been introduced to North America. The rhizomes and stem are scaly, the flowers bright yellow. Interestingly, the leaves do not grow until after the plant has flowered. The flowers are harvested from March to April. Coltsfoot contributes to the maintenance of normal respiratory functions and has an effect on the immune system.   Raw material for the preparation of herbal tea - infusion
