HHCPM

HHCPM is considered a derivative of HHCP, whereby the addition of an ethyl group changes the original structure of HHCP. The cannabinoid HHCP is derived from hexahydrocannabinol (HHC).

The complex production of HHCPM involves processes such as synthesis, treatment, purification, testing and analysis of cannabinoids. The basic processes that occur in the production of HHCPM include hydrogenation, addition of an ethyl group (CH2CH3) and a methyl group (-CH3).

While HHCP flashed itself as a stronger version of HHC, HHCPM gains entirely new properties by introducing a specific ether group into its structure.

Because HHCPM is a hydrogenated compound, like HHC or H4CBD, it consists of 2 stereoisomers: 9(R)-HHCP methyl ether and 9(S)-HHCP methyl ether.

What are the effects of HHCPM?

The ratio of the 9(R) and 9(S) isomers in the product will influence the effects, as evidenced by a 2023 study on HHC which reported that the 9(R) molecule effectively binds to CB1 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, causing psychoactive effects. In contrast, the 9(S) isomer carries the label of an inactive element.

Based on experience with other psychoactive cannabinoids, it can be expected to affect perception, induce feelings of euphoria, relaxation or increase appetite.

Users compare the potency of HHCPM to HHCP, with HHCPM having a faster onset but the peak effects not lasting as long. The decline in effects is longer, which may increase the overall duration of action compared to HHCP.

HHCPM is a new addition to the cannabis market and therefore no studies have yet been conducted to clarify what specific effects it produces and how it works in the body.
