What is H4CBD and what are its effects?
H4CBD (tetrahydrocannabidiol, THD) is a hydrogenated derivative of CBD (cannabidiol). Unlike CBD, it is not found in the cannabis plant but is produced by a process called hydrogenation 🔬. Four hydrogen atoms are added to the CBD molecule, changing the properties and effects of the original compound.
Therefore, H4CBD has a different effect on the body – it can produce mild psychoactive effects, as hydrogenated compounds usually show a higher binding to CB1 receptors (found mainly in the brain, nervous system) in the endocannabinoid system.
