CBG9 is considered a variant of CBG, which is often referred to as the "mother of all cannabinoids". This nickname is well-deserved because CBG, in its acidic form (CBGa), serves as the precursor to other cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD. CBG is the first cannabinoid that cannabis starts to produce during the germination phase.

CBG9, unlike other cannabinoids, does not crystallise –  this makes it easier to process and, given its liquid form, it could have a higher bioavailability.

For now, the cooperation of CBG9 with the endocannabinoid system remains a subject of research.
