What is white kratom and what are its types, effects and dosage?

This article is not a sales article and is not intended to encourage kratom consumption. The use of kratom is not recommended. It is an addictive substance that has a high risk of addiction and possible withdrawal symptoms. Under current Czech law, this substance is not intended for consumption as it is sold as a collector's item.

What is white kratom?

We've already introduced you to kratom in a previous article where we talked about what kratom is, its types, effects, risks, dosage and legality. If you haven't read it, check it out to get the basic information. Today we're going to focus on white kratom.

Kratom is a natural plant substance extracted from the tropical shrub Mitragyna Speciosa. Whether we're talking about white, red, or green kratom, they all come from the same shrub. The veining of the leaves suggests its age, but the final shade of kratom and its effect is influenced by the processing method. When it comes to the quality of kratom, several factors play a role, such as soil composition, sunlight, water, nutrients and dry/rainy season.

The leaves contain a large amount of an alkaloid called mitragynine. A particularly high content of mitragynine and other lesser known alkaloids in a balanced ratio is responsible for the stimulating effect. The leaves are dried in direct sunlight for more than 1 day, which helps to preserve the alkaloids. They are then placed in drying chambers.

White kratom has energising, stimulating properties

Currently, kratom is most commonly used in the form of powder, capsules, paste, crushed leaves and tea.

The alkaloids are known to have an intense analgesic effect on our body. There is a very high likelihood of kratom becoming addictive, even animal studies have suggested that mitragynine may have addictive properties.

Types of white kratom

When talking about the best kratom, the species referred to as "Super" is often repeated. This species contains a balanced mix of alkaloids, making it seen as a "guarantee" of a positive experience.

  • Example: Super White

As for the strongest kratom, the one that stands out for its highest alkaloid content as well as its potency, it is the Borneo variety (after the area where the highest levels of mytragyn and 7-hydroxymitragynine were found on the leaves).

  • Example: Borneo White

The kratom that is best for boosting energy is considered to be White Maeng Da, which originates from Thailand and is renowned for its stimulating effects.

Other types of white kratom include White Magic, Puan White, White Bali, White Pure, White Vein, White Malay, White Indo, White Elephant and White Entikong.

Effects of White kratom

We will look at the effects of white kratom in general terms, as the effect also varies according to the method of processing and place of origin.

In general, white kratom promises:

  • improving cognitive function
  • maintaining alertness
  • a burst of energy
  • boosting creativity
  • an increase in mental activity and concentration
  • increased drive for physical activity
  • improved mood

The effects of white kratom are an individual matter and depend on many factors such as dosage, sensitivity of the body and the overall health of the user. Due to the risks associated with use, you should always respect the recommended dosage. However, this can be a stumbling block, as kratom is still a collector's item, hence the lack of a recommended dosage.

Tip: Need to relieve stress and induce a feeling of relaxation? Try cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-psychoactive and known for its calming effects and inducing mental well-being

Dosage

As well as the effects, the dosage depends on the individual, and everyone may react differently to kratom. Therefore, it is important to draw on your own experience and adjust your dosage if necessary and observe how your body reacts. Remember that kratom is not suitable for daily use and it is not recommended to take it for more than 14 days without a break. The longer you take kratom, the more you put yourself at risk of addiction as well as possible side effects (insomnia, muscle tremors, sweating, liver damage, etc.).

As for dosage, general recommendations can be found:

  • Low doses of 1-2 g.
  • Medium doses 2-5 g.
  • High doses above 5 g, in these doses there is a risk of overdose and the occurrence of side effects in the form of nausea (vomiting) and dizziness, in addition, a rapid tolerance is built up, which increases the risk of addiction.

Always start with the lowest possible dose and monitor your own reactions to the substance. The effect usually occurs within 10 minutes and the peak effect can be expected about an hour after taking. It normally lasts 3 to 9 hours and this time depends on the size of the dose and the type of kratom.

Conclusion

We still do not have scientifically proven information on how to safely use kratom. It's a bit of a grey area that we need to bring more light into. Literally, kratom falls into a legal grey area in the Czech Republic, much like HHC did. However, the situation has already escalated around the cannabinoids HHC, HHCO and THCP, as of 1 March 2024, they are temporarily included in the list of banned addictive substances.

Several user experiences suggest that kratom use has positive effects. It may be that research will one day confirm its possible useful potential. However, without further research, it is virtually impossible to determine a safe and effective dosage, to detect all possible interactions and to map out any adverse side effects.

In conclusion, we recommend that you do not take this substance.
