Three recipes for biscuits with CBD flowers

Baking with CBD flowers

You don't have to use only CBD flowers in your recipes, you can substitute a reasonable amount of CBD oil. However, it can leave a specific "aftertaste" in the cookies where it will interfere with or overpower the other ingredients. It depends on how much you like the specific taste of the oil - just as much as it depends on the type of oil (the type of carrier oil with which the CBD extract is mixed). In fact, hemp CBD oil usually has a much stronger taste than, for example, coconut MCT oil or olive oil. Most healthy recipes replace wheat and spelt flour (and other variations) with ground nuts. These complement cannabidiol perfectly and increase its bioavailability, which allows the cannabinoid compound to enter the body faster and in greater quantities.

CBD flowers, however, need to be treated before they are used in cooking. Although decarboxylation (the process by which the acidic variants of THC and CBD are converted to non-acidic ones) starts during drying, the whole process needs to be completed in the kitchen. Simply crumble the CBD flowers into smaller pieces, spread evenly on a baking sheet, place in a preheated oven and "bake" for about 45 minutes at 115 degrees (do not exceed 150 degrees). Keeping the temperature moderate is important - this is so that the cannabis does not lose its aromatic terpenes. Let the flowers cool after removing. They should be slightly brownish and dry to the touch and crumble.

Unbaked almond biscuits

These biscuits are extremely simple and quick to prepare and suitable for both celiacs and vegans. The basic version is made with only four ingredients, but you can add cinnamon or decorate with chocolate icing.

Raw materials:

2 cups almond flour
1 cup almond butter (soft)
 ½ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon and ½ teaspoon vanilla sugar (optional)
 ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

200 mg of CBD oil or a reasonable amount of CBD flowers (after decarboxylation) - the amount refers to the CBD content of the oil, not the total weight

Recepty s CBD květy nejsou složité, jen dávejte pozor na množství.

Method: mix almond flour, almond butter and maple syrup in a bowl. Add half a teaspoon of vanilla sugar and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Knead until all the ingredients come together to form a thick dough. Stir in CBD flowers or add CBD oil with a total CBD content of 200 mg. You can also add chocolate chips. Process gently to form balls 3 centimetres in diameter. Press lightly on them (for example, with the bottom of a glass) and form a pattern with a fork or cookie stamp. Place them on a baking paper lined tray and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

If you didn't mix the chocolate chips directly into the dough, you can decorate the cookies with frosting instead.

Healthy balls

The balls are quick and made from ingredients that everyone usually has at home, so you don't have to buy any special ingredients to prepare them. Maybe that's why they are so popular.

Ingredients for the basic dough:

2 cups almond flour
1 cup almond butter
 ¾ cup maple syrup
200 mg CBD oil or a reasonable amount of CBD flowers (after decarboxylation)

Raw materials for other variants:

1) ¼ cup chopped pecans and ¼ cup raisins
2) ¼ cup chopped dates and ¼ cup coconut
3) ¼ cup chocolate chips
4) ¼ cup shelled pistachios and ¼ cup dried cranberries

Procedure: process all ingredients into a thick (but still sticky) dough and add a little extra to suit your preference. While the raisins make the dough taste even sweeter, the coconut dries out the dough and the pistachios and cranberries are the most filling. Shape into smaller balls and place them on a baking paper lined tray. Leave in the fridge and remove gradually.

Almond biscuits

At Christmas, when stress and hustle and bustle grip you, unbaked cookies are a great choice. On the other hand, there are recipes like these almond cookies that take only a few minutes to bake, are healthy and stay fresh for weeks.

Raw materials:

2 cups almond flour
1/3 date syrup
 ¼ coconut oil
 ¼ teaspoon baking soda
 ½ teaspoon baking powder
 ½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon almond extract
 ½ cup chopped pecans
200 mg CBD oil or a reasonable amount of CBD flowers (after decarboxylation)

Procedure: first preheat the oven to 180 degrees (to save time and energy). Before mixing all the ingredients together, make sure the coconut oil is softened and there are no large chunks between the pecans. Work into the dough and form small lumps, placing these on a baking sheet with baking paper (you can lightly grease it with coconut oil). Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, checking periodically to make sure the cookies are not browning and burning. Just a moment. They will be soft when hot, but will harden slightly when cool. Let rest for a few minutes and serve.
