8-OH-HHC is a hydroxy derivative of HHC in which the hydroxyl group is attached to the 8th carbon. 

This substance is formed by the oxidation of HHC by an enzyme (cytochrome P450) that occurs naturally, especially in the liver. A commercial version of 8-OH-HHC is produced by chemical synthesis from HHC.

Although research on 8-OH-HHC is still limited, based on experience with other HHC derivatives, the effects are expected to be similar to those offered by THC or HHC, but are likely to be less intense.

8-OH-HHC has psychoactive properties and can affect perception, induce feelings of euphoria, relaxation and increase appetite.
